Inferential Current (IFC)
Inferential Current or Electrical Muscle Stimulation generates current which, when introduced to tissue causes physiological changes to heal the body. IFC penetrates tissue below the surface of the skin while a TENS unit overrides pain at skin level. IFC helps to:
- Decrease Swelling
- Decrease Pain
- Decrease Muscle Spasm
- Increase Range of Motion
- Stimulate Healing
Ultrasound
Ultrasound utilizes sound energy to penetrate deep tissues. Non-audible vibrations cause friction/heat in the cells to:
- Relax Soft Tissue
- Reduce Inflammation
- Decrease Pain
Rehabilitative Exercises
Dr. Nathan may prescribe a series of therapeutic exercises to stretch muscles and ligaments. Rehabilitative Exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home. Our staff can provide instruction and demonstration. These customized activities help to strengthen and aid in healing the body.
IASTM Manual Therapy
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization is manual manipulation of muscles, tendons, or myofascia to improve movement and function. Injured or damaged tissue may thicken, forming scar tissue or fascial adhesions. These restrictions in range of motion can affect nerves, muscle, tendons and lymphatic function. IASTM can be beneficial in the treatment of:
- Rotator Cuff Tendonitis
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Sports Injury
- Scar Tissue
